Charging Standard and Refund Regulations for International Students Fees in Shenyang Urban Construction University

The Charging Standard and Refund Regulations for International Students Fees in Shenyang Urban Construction University are based on the “Adjustment of the Financial Cost Standard for International Students” issued by P.R.C. National Education Commission and P.R.C. National Development Planning Commission and “Regulations on the Foreign Exchange System of the People's Republic of China” promulgated by the State Council.

 

I.          Charge Standard

a)     Application Fee: 800RMB/Student

b)     Tuition Fees:

                i.          Chinese Language Course: Long term 11000RMB/Student annually, Short term 2000RMB/Student monthly

               ii.          Undergraduate Courses:

1.     BSc in Architecture (5 year course) 15000RMB/Student annually

2.     BSc in Civil Engineering (4 year course) 13000RMB/Student annually

3.     BA in Business Administration (4 year course) 12000RMB/ Student annually

              iii.          Students register 2 month after the beginning of every semester, or resume study after suspension, should pay their tuition fee as short term language course standard until the end of that semester. Standard charge will apply according to his/her major from the subsequent term.

c)     Accommodation Fee:

                i.          Shared double room 450RMB/Student monthly

               ii.          Single room 900RMB/Student monthly

              iii.          Students register 2 month after the beginning of every semester, or resume study after suspension, should pay their accommodation fee by the actual month(s) he/she will stay.

d)     Insurance Fee:

600RMB/Student annually

e)     Other Fees:

                i.          Fees for text books, experiments, internship, and off-class exploration etc. should be paid by students accordingly.

               ii.          Fees for short term groups should be paid according to agreements made by both parties.

f)      All fees should be paid by RMB.

 

II.          Payment method

a)     Application fee: must be paid while applying for admission

b)     Tuition Fee

                i.          For Undergraduate and Long term Chinese Language Course students, full annually payment must be made during the first week of every academic year.

               ii.          For Short Term Chinese Language Course students, full payment must be made during the first week after registration.

              iii.          For students who cannot make their payments on time, application must be made to the International Student College, and the late payment must be made within 1 month if agreed by the college, and a late charge of 5% of his/her payment will apply. Dismiss and cancelation of residence permit will apply, if student cannot make the payment within a month.

c)     Accommodation Fee

All students are required to pay their accommodation fee by semesters on arrival. Short term students are required to pay their full accommodation fee once arrived. Students who failed of making payments as required will be charged at Guest Standard of International Communication Centre.

d)     Insurance Fee

Insurance is compulsory for International Students. The payment must be made annually at the beginning of each academic year while doing registration. Students who failed to pay their Insurance Fee will not be able to register.

e)     Short term group visit

Fees should be paid according to agreements made by both parties.

f)      Tuition, Accommodation and other Fees must be paid to University Financial Office by Cash or Debit Card (with “UnionPay” logo) in RMB.

 

III.          Terms of Refund

All fees should not be refundable once paid, but exceptions can be made by an accepted application. Therefore, the following terms will apply:

a)     Registration Fee and Insurance Fee are not refundable.

b)     In case of withdrawal, a 50% of tuition fee is refundable within 14 days (included) after registration. After 15 days from registration, no refund can be accepted if and only if the student’s visa application has been denied, and should not be the student’s responsibility.

c)     Refund of Accommodation Fee(check out)

                i.          No check-out during 1st May and 1st Oct National holidays

               ii.          During winter and summer holidays, students can check-out if they expect to leave the campus for over 15 days and no further charge during the period of leave. All personal belongs must be removed while check-out.

              iii.          When student leave the University due to completion, graduation, suspension and termination, accommodation fee will be calculated with the actual period of stay by accommodation office, as remaining balance can be refunded.

d)     Application Note must be submitted in person, as well as the original receipt while student apply for refund. Otherwise, application will be denied.

e)     No refund of tuition fee for students, who have been dismissed, violated the University regulations or transferred.

f)      All refunds will be made by RMB.

 

IV.          Appendix

a)     Regulations apply to International Students in Shenyang Urban Construction University.

b)     Regulations take effect while established; International Students’ College reserves the right of interpretation
