Shenyang Urban Construction University, formerly known as Urban Construction College of Shenyang Jianzhu University, was founded in July 2000, and it has been approved as a formal independent university by the Ministry of Education in 2013.The university is a full-time undergraduate school that mainly trains application-oriented talents, with more than 13000 undergraduate and junior college students.

The school has nearly 700 teachers, including nearly 500 full-time teachers. Among the full-time teachers, 91.22% are teachers with master's degree or above, 35.71% are teachers with senior professional titles, 22.65% are "double-qualified" teachers, and 43.06% are teachers with industry and engineering practice experience. Many teachers hold positions in national, provincial, municipal and other academic organizations and evaluation institutions, including famous teachers in Liaoning Province and well-known experts in the industry.
