On March 9th, 360 international students from 33 countries and regions returned to the classroom with great anticipation and high spirits, marking the beginning of their academic life for the new semester. The campus was illuminated by their bright smiles, while warm greetings echoed gently along the corridors.
To ensure the smooth, orderly, and efficient operation of teaching activities for the new semester, Dean Shao Xiujuan of the International Students College, together with tutors, conducted in-depth inspections of various classrooms to observe the implementation of the first day’s instruction. They joined the students in attending lectures and carried out detailed checks on key aspects such as faculty attendance, student participation, classroom environment, and the functionality of teaching facilities.
In the classrooms, instructors delivered engaging lessons with vitality and enthusiasm, while international students demonstrated focused attention and active participation. Positive and harmonious interactions were observed between teachers and students. During breaks, Dean Shao Xiujuan engaged in cordial conversations with the students, inquiring in detail about their academic adaptation and daily life on campus. She encouraged them to cherish this valuable opportunity, pursue their studies with diligence and ambition, and strive to become cultural ambassadors bridging China and the world.
Overall observations from the inspection indicated that, on the first day of the semester, all teaching activities within the International Students College proceeded in an orderly manner. Both faculty and students exhibited high morale and a positive attitude, fostering a dynamic and engaging classroom atmosphere. Nearly full attendance was recorded across all courses, reflecting a vibrant and promising start to the new semester.
Embarking on a new journey in the new semester, the International Students College remains committed to enhancing the quality of education and cultivating outstanding talents with global perspectives, who are equipped to undertake the mission of international exchange. The college will continue to contribute to the high-quality development of international education.
