To help international students majoring in Chinese language smoothly transition into degree programs, the School of International Education has joined forces with the School of Architecture and Urban Planning, the School of Intelligent Construction and Environmental Engineering, the School of Management, the School of Computer Science and the School of Artificial Intelligence to launch the lecture series themed "Explore Majors, Embrace the Future".
近日，由国际教育学院牵头策划组织的系列宣讲活动有序开展。活动覆盖面广、内容丰富、形式多元，各协办学院结合自身办学特色、专业优势与国际化育人经验，为来华汉语言留学生打造了一场全方位、立体化的专业认知盛宴，全方位助力汉语言留学生明晰专业方向、规划学业未来。
Recently, the series of promotional lectures initiated and organized by the School of International Education have been carried out in an orderly manner. Featuring extensive coverage, substantial content and diverse formats, the co-organizing colleges drew on their distinctive school-running characteristics, disciplinary strengths and experience in international education. They have delivered a comprehensive and multi-dimensional professional orientation feast for international students studying Chinese in China, fully assisting these students in clarifying their major options and mapping out their academic paths ahead.
计算机学院及人工智能学院围绕专业科普与实践体验，开展计算机与人工智能专业宣讲。宣讲团队就专业培养目标、核心课程、专业优势、技术应用场景与就业发展前景展开系统性讲解，结合汉语言留学生的学习基础与学习习惯，针对性梳理专业学习脉络，帮助学生快速建立系统化、科学化的专业认知。为直观展现专业特色与课程实用性，活动现场开展核心实践课程实操演示，逐一展示讲解web前端框架技术、HTML5、UI设计、面向对象程序设计等核心教学内容，通过知识点拆解、实操演示、经典案例解析的方式，生动呈现专业技术的应用逻辑与行业价值，让汉语言留学生真切感受计算机与人工智能专业的趣味性、实用性与创新性。演示结束后，专任教师针对汉语言留学生提出的课程难度、技术实操、学习规划、就业方向等问题逐一细致答疑，有效厘清学生的学习误区与发展困惑，充分调动了汉语言留学生的专业学习兴趣与探索热情。
The School of Computer Science and the School of Artificial Intelligence delivered special presentations on computer science and artificial intelligence majors, focusing on popularizing professional knowledge and offering hands-on practical experience.The presentation team gave a systematic introduction to the training objectives, core curricula, disciplinary strengths, technical application scenarios and career prospects of the two majors. Taking into account the academic foundation and learning habits of international Chinese-language students, they sorted out the overall learning roadmap in a targeted manner, helping students build a systematic and scientific understanding of the disciplines efficiently.To intuitively demonstrate the program features and practical value of courses, live demonstrations of core practical courses were arranged on site. Key teaching contents including Web front-end framework technologies, HTML5, UI design and object-oriented programming were displayed and explained one by one. By breaking down knowledge points, conducting live operations and analyzing classic cases, the instructors vividly illustrated the application logic and industrial value of relevant technologies, enabling international Chinese-language students to truly perceive the fun, practicality and innovation embedded in computer science and artificial intelligence.Following the demonstration, full-time faculty members patiently answered all questions raised by the students concerning curriculum difficulty, hands-on technical operations, study planning and career paths. These responses effectively cleared up misunderstandings and confusions regarding their studies and future development, and greatly stimulated the students’ interest and enthusiasm for in-depth exploration of the majors.
土木工程专业宣讲中，智能建造与环境工程学院院长赵中华、党总支书记于婷等领导、专业教授团队及师生代表齐聚专业宣讲现场，为汉语言留学生带来高品质专业导学课堂。赵中华全面介绍专业办学实力，指出土木工程专业为辽宁省一流本科示范专业、辽宁省创新创业教育特色专业，对标德国ASIIN国际工程专业认证，依托省级工程实践教学中心、市级重点实验室等优质平台，拥有完备的国际化教学资源与雄厚的办学根基。专任教师张景怡、秦桂娟、徐亚丰分别从课程设置、行业前沿、发展路径三大维度展开讲解，既细致介绍专业师资配置与人才培养标准，又立足全球基建格局，解读智能建造、绿色低碳等行业转型新趋势，同时梳理海内外深造、就业双重发展渠道，为汉语言留学生提供精准的学业与职业规划指导。宣讲结束后，师生开展面对面自由交流，精准解答学生关于课程学习、实训实操、升学就业等各类困惑。活动还融入中西文化展演与土木结构模型手工实践环节，汉语言留学生在文艺交融的氛围中感受多元校园文化，在沉浸式实操中体悟土木匠心，有效提升了专业认同感与学习自信心。
During the briefing on the Civil Engineering program, Zhao Zhonghua, Dean of the School of Intelligent Construction and Environmental Engineering, Yu Ting, Secretary of the General Party Branch, other school leaders, the faculty team of the major as well as faculty and student representatives attended the information session, delivering a high-quality academic orientation lecture for international students majoring in Chinese language.
Dean Zhao gave a comprehensive introduction to the school’s educational strengths. He noted that Civil Engineering is a first-class undergraduate demonstration major and a featured major for innovation and entrepreneurship education in Liaoning Province. Aligned with the ASIIN international engineering accreditation standard from Germany, the major is backed by high-quality platforms including a provincial-level engineering practice teaching center and a municipal key laboratory, boasting well-rounded international teaching resources and solid disciplinary foundations.
Full-time faculty members Zhang Jingyi, Qin Guijuan and Xu Yafeng delivered presentations from three perspectives: curriculum arrangement, cutting-edge industry developments and career development pathways. They elaborated on the faculty team composition and talent training criteria. Against the backdrop of global infrastructure development, they interpreted emerging industrial trends such as intelligent construction and green low-carbon transformation. In addition, they outlined dual development paths of further study at home and abroad plus direct employment, offering targeted guidance on academic studies and career planning for the international students.
After the presentation, teachers and students held face-to-face free discussions to address students’ doubts concerning coursework, practical training, further education and job hunting. The event also featured Sino-Western cultural performances and a hands-on workshop for civil engineering structural model making. Immersed in an atmosphere of cultural integration, the international students experienced diverse campus culture and appreciated the craftsmanship of civil engineering through hands-on practice, which greatly strengthened their sense of identity with the major and confidence in their studies.
建筑与规划学院采用“实景+实例+实操”的沉浸式模式开展双专业宣讲。建筑学专业教师陈瑶系统介绍专业培养体系、核心课程、实践教学与就业方向，重点解读专业“设计思维、工程技术、艺术素养”三位一体培养特色，为汉语言留学生明晰成长路径。活动邀请在读留学生优秀代表小爱、留沈就业校友卡乐加分享求学与从业经历，以真实成长案例直观展现学院育人成效与办学实力。城乡规划教研室主任郝燕泥围绕专业特色与国际化优势展开宣讲。该专业深耕实践创新人才培养，育人标准对标欧洲ASIIN国际工程教育认证体系，具备强劲的国际化办学竞争力。她结合行业发展趋势与逐年提升的升学数据，全面阐释专业多元升学与就业前景。学院组织汉语言留学生走进基础营造、景观生态、信息数字三大专业实验室，近距离观摩建筑模型、体验数字化实训设备，同时设置黏土牙签搭建趣味实践环节，让学生在团队协作与创意实操中理解建筑构造逻辑，沉浸式感受建筑学和城乡规划专业的独特魅力与实践价值。
The School of Architecture and Urban Planning delivered presentations for its two majors via an immersive mode integrating on-site viewing, real case studies and hands-on practice.
Chen Yao, a faculty member of the Architecture program, systematically introduced the talent training framework, core courses, practical teaching arrangements and career paths of the major. She emphasized the program’s distinctive three-in-one training philosophy that fosters design thinking, engineering proficiency and artistic literacy, helping international Chinese-language students clarify their personal development trajectories.
Outstanding current international student Xiao Ai and alumnus Kalega who has secured employment in Shenyang were invited to share their experiences of academic pursuit and professional work. Their authentic personal stories vividly demonstrated the school’s remarkable achievements in student cultivation and comprehensive educational strength.
Hao Yanni, Director of the Urban and Rural Planning Teaching and Research Section, gave a presentation focusing on the program’s disciplinary features and international strengths. Committed to cultivating innovative talents with solid practical capabilities, the major aligns its educational standards with the European ASIIN International Engineering Education Accreditation System, endowing it with strong competitiveness in international education. Combining industry development trends and steadily rising further study admission statistics over the years, she elaborated on the diverse prospects for postgraduate admission and career options available to graduates.
The school led international Chinese-language students on a visit to three specialized laboratories covering basic construction, landscape ecology and digital information technology. Students closely observed architectural models and tried out digital training equipment on site. A fun practical activity using clay and toothpicks for structural construction was also arranged. Through teamwork and creative hands-on operations, students gained an understanding of architectural structural logic, and experienced the unique appeal and practical value of Architecture as well as Urban and Rural Planning in an immersive manner.
管理学院组织开展工商管理专业宣讲活动，设置双语讲解环节，由学院教师刘格岑主持，在读留学生成龙参与互动分享。活动设置院长致辞、专业宣讲等多个环节，流程清晰规范。活动伊始，主持人介绍宣讲流程后，副院长杨丽明致辞，拉近与汉语言留学生的距离，充分展现学院师生的热情包容。王冬宜教授结合汉语言留学生学习特点，系统讲解该专业的课程体系、培养方向及行业发展前景，帮助汉语言留学生准确掌握专业核心内容。随后学院播放专业教师寄语视频，各位教师向汉语言留学生送上期许，传递了学院的育人温度。成龙结合自身来华求学、生活与成长经历，分享突破语言壁垒、提升学业水平的经验，为新生树立了良好榜样。在最后的互动答疑环节，师生面对面开展交流，逐一解答汉语言留学生在学习、生活、发展等方面的问题，化解了汉语言留学生在专业选择和学业发展上的困惑。
The School of Management held an information session for the Business Administration major with bilingual interpretation throughout the event. The session was presided over by faculty member Liu Gecen, with international student Chen Long joining in interactive sharing. Well-structured and standardized in procedure, the activity consisted of multiple segments including a dean’s address and major introduction.
After the host outlined the agenda at the opening, Vice Dean Yang Liming delivered a speech, building rapport with international students majoring in Chinese language and embodying the enthusiasm and inclusiveness of faculty and students in the school. Professor Wang Dongyi gave a systematic introduction to the curriculum system, training orientations and industry prospects tailored to the learning characteristics of these international students, enabling them to grasp the core content of the major accurately.
Subsequently, a video featuring messages from faculty members was played, in which instructors extended sincere expectations to the students and conveyed the school’s heartfelt commitment to nurturing talents. Drawing on his own experience of studying and living in China, Chen Long shared practical tips on overcoming language barriers and improving academic performance, setting an inspiring example for new incoming students.
In the final Q&A session, teachers and students engaged in face-to-face communication, answering questions concerning study, daily life and personal development one by one, and resolving the students’ confusion regarding major selection and academic planning.
此次系列宣讲活动，不仅帮助汉语言留学生系统了解了我校优势专业的学科特色与人才培养体系，更通过行业前沿动态的深入解读，让他们直观感受到中国高质量发展的蓬勃活力与广阔机遇。活动有效打通了“语言学习”与“学历提升”之间的通道。下一步，国际教育学院将持续做好入学指导与服务保障，并以此为契机，继续讲好中国故事、城建故事，推动学校国际化办学水平再上新台阶。
This series of briefing sessions not only enabled international students majoring in Chinese language to gain a systematic understanding of the disciplinary features and talent training systems of the university’s flagship majors, but also offered in-depth interpretations of cutting-edge industry trends, allowing them to directly perceive the vigorous momentum and abundant opportunities brought by China’s high-quality development.
The events have effectively built a bridge between Chinese language learning and degree-oriented further studies.
Going forward, the School of International Education will keep refining freshman orientation guidance and supporting services. Taking this campaign as a starting point, the college will continue to tell well-crafted stories about China and urban-rural construction, elevating the university’s international education to a new level.
