The accommodation registration paper is of critical importance and it is the essential document for visa extension.

We often call it the 24 hours registration or the police paper. But the full name of the 24hours registration is Registration Form of Temporary Accommodation for Visitors from Overseas.

You can see the information on accommodation registration paper, including your full name , gender, nationality, date of birth, passport number current address, valid until( in line with the visa validity).

Your full name, gender, nationality and date of birth basically will not change, but the passport number, current address and the valid until will change because you will replace the passport, change a place to live, extend your visa.

Keep in mind, in conclusion，

As long as you change the address to live, you are required to renew the accommodation registration within 24 hours.

As long as you get a new passport or residence permit (or other visas), you are required to renew the accommodation registration within ten days.

In other words, as long as the information on the accommodation registration paper changes, you need to renew it.
